Privacy Policy
Last updated: 20 October 2026
This page says briefly how we treat the privacy of the people who read moldovanuts.org: what happens when you simply browse the site, what we learn about you only if you tell us, what we never do, and what you decide for yourself.
It is the plain-language version. The full detail — every category of data, the legal basis for each processing and the exact retention periods — is in the GDPR Policy, and the files your browser keeps are described in the Cookies Policy. Should the two pages ever appear to say different things, the GDPR Policy is the one that applies.
1. Who we are
The site is run by the Public Association "Walnut Growers Association of the Republic of Moldova", with its registered office at 79A Mateevici str., Stăuceni, Chișinău municipality, MD-4839, fiscal code 1022620009109. You can write to us at any time at asociatianucicultorilor@gmail.com.
2. If you only read the site
We ask nothing of you and you need no account. Your browser receives only the cookies without which the site does not work and, if you choose so, those that remember your language and date formats. We do not keep a log of the pages each visitor reads.
The traffic measurement tool is not loaded at all until you accept that category in the banner shown on your first visit. Until then your browser sends it no request.
3. If you write to us or apply
Through the contact form you tell us your name and either an e-mail address or a telephone number, so that we can answer. Through a membership application you send us, in addition, your company's particulars and the documents you attach. If you hold a member account, we keep the account's data and, if you choose to fill them in, your profile's contact details.
If you are a member, your company chooses who sees each of its details on its public page, and its administrator decides whether you appear as a contact and who may read your email and your phone — always under the limit the association sets. If you ask for access to the results of one of the members' tools, you tell us who you are and what you are looking for; the searches of those who have access are kept, so the association knows who consults the members' offers and services. We also keep a record of who changed a company's data — which fields, never their values. If somebody else adds you to a company, it sees only your email address until you accept, on the company's page; you may decline there too.
We use them to answer you, to examine an application and to administer membership — nothing else.
4. What we do not do
- we neither sell nor rent your data to anyone;
- we do not profile you and take no automated decisions about you;
- we do not ask for sensitive data — about health, beliefs or membership — and ask you not to send it;
- we do not send unsolicited commercial messages to somebody who merely wrote to us once;
- we load no measurement or advertising tool before you have agreed to it.
5. What you decide
You make your cookie choice on the first visit and can change it at any time from the footer of the site. The language and the date formats you change from the header or from your profile.
If you hold an account, two things you can do yourself without writing to us: download your own data as a file, and delete your account, confirming with your password. For anything else — a correction, an erasure, an objection — write to us and we answer within the period the law prescribes.
6. Where the data is
The site and its database are hosted in the Republic of Moldova. Messages received through the form, the documents submitted and the technical journals do not leave the country. The one exception is yours to choose: if you accept the measurement category, your browser contacts Google, which receives your IP address and browser type and processes them on its own infrastructure.
7. How long we keep it
Each kind of data has its own period: messages, membership applications and requests for access to the tools two years, the history of changes to companies' data two years, searches in the tools 720 days (the IP address only 90), the sign-in log one year, the incident log and site searches 90 days, unaccepted invitations 90 days from their end, the record of cookie decisions one year. Account data stays for as long as the account exists. The full list is in the GDPR Policy, and deletion at term happens automatically.
8. How we protect the data
The site works only over a secure connection. Passwords are kept as irreversible digests, and the e-mail address, telephone number and national identification number are encrypted in the database. Access to the administration panel is limited by rights and may require two-step verification; documents submitted with a membership application sit on a disk a browser cannot read directly.
9. Children
The site addresses professionals in the walnut sector. We do not deliberately collect data about children and, if we learn that we have received such data without a basis, we delete it.
10. Questions and complaints
Write to us at asociatianucicultorilor@gmail.com or use the contact form. If you are not satisfied with the answer, you may address the National Centre for Personal Data Protection (datepersonale.md) or the courts.
11. Changes
We update this page whenever the way we work with data changes. The applicable version is the one published here, with the date of the last update shown at the top.
