About us
We bring Moldova's walnut growers, processors and exporters together into one professional voice.
Who we are
The Association of Walnut Growers of the Republic of Moldova brings together the farmers, nurseries, processors and exporters who work with walnuts. We are a non-governmental professional body made up of companies and holdings of every size — from orchards of a few hectares to processing plants shipping into European markets.
Our mission
We want Moldovan walnuts to be known abroad for consistent quality, and the growers who produce them to be paid fairly for their work. We work along three lines:
- Standards and quality. We promote growing and processing practices that meet European market requirements, from harvest through to packing.
- Market access. We help members find buyers, attend trade fairs and prepare export documentation.
- Applied knowledge. We run technical sessions, orchard visits and exchanges between members, so that what works on one holding reaches the others.
What members get
Members have access to the technical and commercial information we gather, to the events we organise, and to the network of contacts built over years of work with partners at home and abroad. Membership is renewed annually.
How we work
The association is governed by a general assembly of its members, which elects the board. Decisions on the direction of work and on the budget are taken by the assembly. Day-to-day activity is coordinated by the secretariat.
If you work with walnuts and would like to join, write to us through the contact page — we will explain the procedure and the conditions of membership.
